This bag is inspired by a old traditional Apsaalooké style bladder bag with modern fashion. They used the bladder of a Buffalo and repurposed to resemble a water proof bag. I gave the bag more dimension and added various sized spikes and this beautiful antique Victorian brass purse frame with floral motifs and a release button on the top with a floral pull-tab and a large ring in the back to hang on a wall or stand. The beadwork is all beaded on my handmade smoked deer hide with antique Venetian glass faceted seed beads with 24k gold tri cut beads. I used a rose design from my great grandmas stash of patterns for inspiration and made it large. I used the 2 needle appliqué beading technique with a crow edging technique. The leather on the exterior is high quality, hand made, embossed lamb skin from the Montana leather co. It’s where my great grandma would purchase her leather from, even her her mother purchased from them when they were establishing their business. The interior of the bag is lined with Italian leather. I even added a thick beaded handle/strap to hold or rest on the shoulder.
